Using dark tones in interiors does not mean you will get a dark apartment, lacking light. It also does not necessarily mean that you can only combine dark coloured materials with other dark materials. The wonderful game of combining colours and textures is called interior design. Variation makes it more interesting.

Let's see some interesting examples of dark natural stone in-situ.

Ceppo de Gres stone is being used in the bathroom in combination with dark wooden furniture, but also with warm wood and white wall. Combination of colours and shades creates a specific design depth to the space.

Caprina Nuvolata kitchen worktop was fitted on top of dark oak cabinets in quite light space finished with light grey microcement and white paint on the walls.

Other great examples of statement stone pieces, that do not make space look dark in any way.
